This programme introduces learners to the following:
- Introduction to Equality: Offers learners a broad understanding of international paradigms, approaches, policies and theories that are relevant to business management.
- Institutions and Policies: Explores how inequality is enacted and reproduced in society and government and inter[1]relating social structures, business and industry.
- National and International Contexts: Examines the effects of global inequality on industry and business sectors and offers alternative models to effect change.
- Diversity and Demographics: Identifies relevant contemporary theory and best practice in creating an inclusive workplace through exploration of issues of race, gender, age, religion, sexuality, ability, and the effects of these on workforces, customer bases and business sectors.

Who is it for?
The programme is designed for those seeking a better understanding of the current EDI law and protected characteristics in Ireland, assess its implementation and make positive changes which reflect good practice in an innovative organisation.

Progression
Graduates of the certificate can progress to the Higher Diploma in Business in EDI.
