Masterclass Series: Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) and the Workplace
Insurance at SETU Carlow is delighted to present a series of five Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) online Masterclasses developed and delivered by the D&I Performance Platform specialists, inclusio®.
This practical and impactful Masterclass Series will provide participants with a clear understanding of the business case for EDI, expert insights around Central Bank of Ireland (CBI) requirements and EU regulation, with a core focus on building knowledge around the practical application of EDI in the workplace and its relevance to organisational sustainability.
This initiative forms part of an industry-led approach to Diversity and Inclusion from a strategic partnership between the Centre for Insurance Risk Data Analytics Studies (CIRDAS), the Insurtech Network Centre (INC), Ireland South East Financial Services Cluster (ISEFSC), and inclusio®. This exciting initiative has been included under the government’s 5 year Ireland for Finance strategy and in their action plan for 2022.
NOTE: The series of five masterclasses is free to attend but attendees must register your interest to gain access to the class. The masterclass series is run on a drop in and drop out basis, but attendees must attend four of five sessions and complete an exit questionnaire to attain a Certificate of Completion.

Session 1

Building Workplaces Where People Want to Work & Inclusive Leadership
This session will explore the benefits of inclusion and Inclusive leadership within the workplace to build a workplace in which people want to work.
Session 2
26th October 12.30pm-1.30pm
Workplace Culture and Decision Making
This session will define and explore what culture means, the formation of workplace cultures and how bias can impact our decision making process in the workplace.
Session 3
2nd November 12.30pm-1.30pm
Practical Application of EDI in the Workplace
This session will investigate the benefits of inclusion and practically how its key elements impact an organisation through the exploration of case studies.
Session 4
9th November 12.30pm-1.30pm
Central Bank of Ireland (CBI) Requirements and EU Regulation
This session will provide attendees with an understanding of the current regulatory environment and discuss frameworks for responding to these challenges.
Session 5
16th November 12.30pm-1.30pm
Building a Workable Action Plan
(Org self-assessment/ Framework)
Attendees will be afforded the opportunity to develop a meaningful, workable D&I action plan and their intended outcomes for your own organisation.
